After a long hiatus, I am back with some sinful action ;) Thanks to Megzzz for tagging me ~ ‘My Sins against Gender-Stereotypes.’ This tag says, list at least ten things you have ever wanted or done which your gender is not supposed to.

And you must tag twelve blogging friends or else you will be cursed to wear blue clothes pants if you are a woman and pink shirts if you are a man – for next twelve years!! :D

I am not tagging anyone coz I just love this bluey curse :P

Here goes my sins and deep secrets ;)

1. I love to wear men's perfume. Axe chocolate is my favorite!!! :D :D

2. Hanging out at nights. I would never miss a chance :D I once had retarded fun at some beach in Chennai, past midnight, with my school friends. I wish I could do that more often. Now you ask, is this a sin?! My momma says yes :P

3. I play cricket though I don't quite follow the technicalities of the game. If I am given the bat, I am the happiest person in the world. But, bowling is not my forte.

4. In a crowded bus, I love to travel on the foot board. I know it is dangerous but I do it for the heck of it and trust me, it is fun :D But many a times, I have been warned by the conductor; after which an embarrassed self would go and stand in some corner, holding on to the rods :P

5. WWE is something I love to watch. John Cena and Batista are my favorites :D

I used to be a great fan of Wrestle-mania. :D

6. I play a lot of PC games. This might sound kiddish but then I don't know of many girls who love PC games :P NFS, PoP, Left 4 Dead, Mortal Kombat, Claw, Mario are my all time favs :D

7. I have always wanted to play Snooker and Golf (though it is called a gentleman's sport for a totally different reason) :P :D

8. I love to ride my bro's A-scooter :D He usually says "Don't you touch my scooter. It is a boy thingy you dumbo!" and which sister ever listens to her bro, a younger one that too; insect ;) :P

9. Caps!!! I love to wear caps :D :P

10. I hate to do household chores. Cleaning, dusting, washing, whatever :P But if there is any help mom needs from outside, I am ready in a jiffy :D

A child of a broken home

The whole of autumn, I looked for her

Spent 21 springs living for her

She never came; but she will someday

A pirate ship

An empty tunnel

A pebble walk

A lotus pond

And a sunflower

Looking through the dragon fly’s wings

With the mystical moonlight it clings

It was one of the strange things

I bowed my head and the church bell rings

A hungry bird

A stained wall

The distant cloud

A flower pot

My college road

I was able to pray again

Save the Earth - Its our only true home!!!

Realign

Save files on computer hard drives than using DVDs and CDs
Use single line spacing while taking print- outs
Use washing machines at full load (Vroooooommm...! and Done! (:)
Use light colored shades for your interior walls (Subtle English colour would be soothing isn’t it?) :)

Nothing is out of our reach! Its in our hands!

Go Green - The R's ~ Make a difference

Starting today I will be posting some tips which will help us march towards a greener planet.

Just imagine how it would be if the road we walk is shaded by lush green trees..and not a bare land, with polluted atmosphere !

Realize

Segregate your garbage as bio-degradable and non-biodegradable (Do you have Green and red baskets at home?) :)

Raise your air-conditioner temperature by two points (This wouldn't make you sweat, I am sure) :)

Plan your travel activities to make best use of your time and fuel (Why waste when we have an opportunity to save?) :)

Maintain your vehicles regularly and save fuel (I would recommend Cycling) :)

Battling the angels and demons inside

A scuffle lost, a scuffle won

2009 was Super duper indeed I had a set of resolutions and after an analysis, here are my results yaayyy, the results are out and I passed scoring just above average

Six degrees

This is how I have been improving my social networking skills. Obsession with Twitter and Mafia Wars in FB, though I have little clue about the game, hanging out in Orkut, GTalk and Skype to have a chinwag with friends.

Get-Up-and-Go Girl

Morning walks! Hmmph! I didn’t quite follow up on this resolution. It was difficult and moreover my alarm clock and the weather always played spoilsport.

Next year on, I am planning to upgrade to cycling

Rewind-stop-play

All set to form a gang of 5 or 7 (Inspiration: Enid Blyton) and discover and revisit places and people

Yay! I didn’t fail in fact I am a part of more than one gang now.One of our adventures this year was visiting an isolated church that is rumored of being anti Christ. :) It was a delirious experience.

Bicycle - My love and passion. Lost it a few years back! So, will buy one soon and sticker it how I want it to be (my brother never lets me touch his cycle)

Learn to fly kites - I am serious!

Carry forwarded hehe… I had asked Santa for a nice, fancy kite. He is on his way… (north pole is too far, you see!)

Mission Mehendi

My target was simple. Kids Tiny little hands craving for Mickey Mouse designs I enjoyed scribbling in their hands, until they asked me to stop. It turned out to be pretty decent.

Kitchen - The Deal

Carry forwarded Terribly failed in this mission. The deal was broken in no time. I am not lazy, I had a very good intention of helping mom and all. Only, the knife was too sharp

Relish Relationships

I wanted to befriend lizards, parrots, puppies, dogs, cats, kittens. I realized that it was a bad idea.They are all scary enough to curdle my blood. People ask me why I detest pets so much. I just want to know how you would feel if a black cat with green eyes clunks down on your legs at midnight. I am not exaggerating guys, it really happened to me. So, I have decided to tame elephants and horses, atleast they don’t seem so scary to me.

Movies

There are some classic movies I watched this year. From Shawshank redemption to Avatar, each one leaving a strong impression German movies never stop to amuse me. I still don’t miss to watch them every fortnight I have been recommended some Iranian, Korean movies too. Avatar and 3 Idiots; however, are the most excellent movies I’ve watched this year.

Blogging

Wrote some serious (seemingly serious) posts, post count has increased and so is my unique commenters count. But I should write more. What if everything in my mind gets erased by time, the omnipotent?! Way to go! Thanks for all your support.!. For supporting me year after year

I clicked these pics a few days back...A nice sunny afternoon when I was walking (read running like hell) to get my 1 o’clock cab, I stopped midway and found Bakri & Co talking seriously. What discussion?? O! How indecent of me?!... Must be personal... I tried to eavesdrop but in vain K

Every child needs Hope and Love :)

A Child’s craving for a carefree childhood may not be very explicable. It is a hypersensitive issue. The level of physical and mental agony a child goes through is one of the most difficult things in life for them to share. Surviving the hardship is far more gruesome. Having to face the world with a heavy heart, some lose hope and some even try to end their lives.

Who is to give them hope? What is it that we, as a common man, can do to make the life of a child better? We can raise our voices, be as loud as we can and put those perpetrators to shame and punishment.

Wait a minute! Before that, let’s ask ourselves one important question. Are we AWARE? Awareness is the need of the hour. We would fail in our responsibility if we ignore such detesting incidents. We should make people aware of it, and educate the pre-adolescent children too. We don’t want to miss opportunities that could potentially save a child. Our society might consider it a recent phenomenon but child sexual abuse has been around in our country for quite a long time (according to sources).

We don’t want sympathy. Show some empathy! I agree, most of us are empathetic towards such issues. But, what do we do about it? To be frank, I was not very aware of this fundamental right denial to a child before a few days. But after browsing through a few online records and books, I came to know of the wide spread existence of this social evil.

It is our duty, to promulgate the idea of basic awareness, prevention and healing of child sexual abuse.

Recently, my twitter friend, Gautham, introduced me to a campaign – Hope Runs, which is initiated and run by Harish, wherein we, the supporters, run for a cause, against the loss of innocence.

I am a victim of randomness

Auburn sunshine swept my dozy eyes. It is amusing to watch the birds play around the birch trees and the water trickling down the snowy white pebbles. The sweet smell of the lavender flowers makes me breath like a yogi, so as to enjoy it wholly and spiritually. I looked around my bedroom. Lying beneath a neatly arranged pile of books was a letter. The paper looked worn out and was stained. I didn’t concentrate on the letter. I rubbed my eyes and looked up.

The Chandelier looked very pretty. The reflections, the sun’s sharp beams flickered on the glass hangings giving it a shimmer even when it’s switched off. Diamonds would envy the glass pieces; the chandelier was shining with glory. I couldn’t take my eyes of this beauty. They seemed immortal, the chandelier and its shadow.

It is a mystery, so very inexplicable. Beautiful black shades on top of the beige floor mat. Shadow of a chandelier! I rested myself over the shades to show my token of appreciation. Enjoying the warmth of the rug under the soothing shadows, I went off to a reverie. It was filled with shadows - of trees, of cycles, of the tall towers, of bangles and butterflies, of shadows of mortals too. It was a journey too dark, black, and with no identity. I woke up; fascination filling every cell of my body.

I woke up. I woke up to see the vast ocean. I could feel the soft wet sand under my feet. The salty breeze swept my face, leaving behind a mild scent of the sand. I walked a long distance, alongside the waves, viewing the horizon at full length. I dived deep, deeper, into thoughts (I wish I could dive into the ocean and get to the shore alive: P) just to realize that I am in the middle of a meeting.

I was asked to deliver a speech, an impromptu. There was stillness inside the meeting room. Pin drop silence (Reminds me of my fifth grade teacher’s words): P I looked at every person in the room, met their eyes. What were they discussing about? What is the topic I have to talk about? I had no clue. Was I scared? Umm… No! I was holding a small notebook in my hand. I opened it and read out its content aloud. I didn’t quite mind the sulking of my colleagues. One of my colleagues in the room shouted “Eureka!!!”

Eureka- I named my cycle Eureka! Cycling is a liberating experience. I cycled for an hour in the morning. This time, the pedals didn’t fail me. I was riding, with my hands in the air. My first try and it was perfect. The road was deserted so, I was carefree. I didn’t carry my iPod that day. But I heard the music of nature. It liberated me of the worldly pleasures. It felt so light. Still riding, I chose to take another path in random.

Randomness fooled Me.!

The sand castle stood still

Against the ocean’s treacherous will

A red flag I had planted

The castle looked coveted

Lilly, tulip, orchid and rose flowers

A garden made of rainbow showers

A small road through the bushes

Led me to the world of wishes

I wished for a nice pretty fountain

To spray the castle of virgin sands and the mountain

To the wind that blew heavy and rude

I only pleaded to soulfully hood

In every castle there is a king,

A tranquil place for birds to sing

A nest I made for the sparrow,

Whose fortune is careless and knows no tomorrow

The dusk fell upon the majestic make

Never can you mistake it as a fake

One last touch I decided to set

What happened next was a thing to forget

Shattered dreams left me sad

Let alone the dreams, the remembrance made me glad
